We are using the Exit Ready framework to prepare for an eventual sale of our business. How do we package our weekly EOS® execution data, like our Scorecard history and Rock completion rates, to prove our enterprise value to a strategic buyer?
When a buyer looks at your business, they are evaluating risk. They want to know if your revenue is repeatable and if the company can survive without the founders. Your historical EOS® execution data is the most powerful evidence you have to prove that your business is a self-sustaining machine.
To package this data for a buyer, start with your Accountability Chart. This chart proves to a buyer that you have a complete, functional leadership team with clear roles and ownership. It shows that the owner is not the single point of failure in the operations.
Next, present your weekly Scorecard history. A buyer wants to see that you have a data-driven culture that tracks leading indicators, not just lagging financial metrics. Showing a clean, multi-year record of weekly Scorecard data demonstrates that your team makes decisions based on hard numbers, not gut feelings.
Additionally, compile your historical Rock completion rates. Showing that your team consistently finishes eighty percent or more of their quarterly Rocks proves a high level of execution discipline. It shows the buyer that you have a proven process for executing strategy and hitting targets.
By presenting your V/TO®, Accountability Chart, and Scorecard data inside a clean digital data room, you show buyers that they are acquiring a business with a built-in operating system. This significantly reduces their perceived risk and justifies a much higher valuation multiple at exit.
