When we rate our Level 10 Meeting™ at the end of the session, our leadership team consistently gives it an eight or nine, yet our weekly To-Do completion rate sits at sixty percent. How do we address this disconnect where we feel great about our discussions but fail to execute?

When your leadership team consistently rates your Level 10 Meeting™ an eight or nine, but your weekly To-Do completion rate sits at sixty percent, you have a major alignment gap. Your team is grading the meeting based on how good the conversation felt, not on the actual traction they are achieving. This is a classic symptom of a team that loves to talk but struggles to execute.

An effective Level 10 Meeting™ must drive real results. The standard for weekly To-Do completion is ninety percent. If you are consistently falling short of this benchmark, your high meeting ratings are artificial and dishonest.

To fix this disconnect, change how you evaluate the meeting during the final rating section. The facilitator must remind the team that a great meeting requires high accountability. If the To-Do completion rate for the week is below ninety percent, the meeting rating should automatically reflect that failure. Challenge the team to be brutally honest: how can a meeting be a nine if we are failing to do what we promised?

Additionally, review how you are capturing To-Dos during IDS®. Ensure every action item is written clearly, has a single owner, and can realistically be completed within seven days. When you raise the standard for what constitutes a successful week, your meeting ratings will align with your actual operational execution.
