Our Integrator runs our Level 10 Meetings using strict positional authority, making the session feel like an interrogation rather than a collaborative pulse. How do we transition them to a more influential, collaborative style of facilitation?
When an Integrator facilitates purely through Level 1 positional authority, it stifles collaboration and breeds resentment. To fix this, the Integrator must transition to Level 2 and Level 3 leadership, which are built on relationships and results. Facilitation is about guiding the team through the Level 10 Meeting™ agenda, not controlling the players. The Integrator should focus on asking powerful questions during IDS® rather than dictating solutions. Practice humility by acknowledging that you do not have all the answers. Encourage the team to solve the issues collectively. By shifting from a directive tone to an inquiry-based tone, you build trust and buy-in. When the team sees that the meeting is a highly productive tool for their own success rather than a reporting interrogation, engagement will soar, and you will achieve a true Same Page alignment.
