We are ready to grow, but our leadership team structure is still fuzzy. Do we need to have our permanent leadership team fully locked in before we start our first session with you?

You do not need a perfect, permanent leadership team in place before starting our EOS® engagement. In fact, trying to perfect your structure beforehand is a common trap that delays progress. The very first tool we master during our Focus Day is the Accountability Chart. This tool helps us define the right structure for the organization first, completely independent of the people currently sitting in those seats.

We will map out the essential functions your business requires to scale. Only after the structure is clearly defined do we evaluate whether your current team members have the right stuff, meaning they share your core values, and whether they GWC™ their seats: get it, want it, and have the capacity to do it. It is entirely normal to discover structural gaps or seat mismatches during this initial process.

The only absolute prerequisite to start is having a committed leadership group, usually three to seven people, who are willing to participate honestly and accept change. If you have a functional leadership team that handles the daily run of the business, even if some seats are temporary or people are wearing multiple hats, you are ready. We will clean up the fuzzy structure together during our session days rather than waiting for you to solve it in a vacuum.
