We are eager to sign up and begin working with you, but what are the signs that our leadership team is currently too unstable or fundamentally unready to successfully implement the system?
Eager and ready are two different things. Your business is not ready to implement EOS® if your leadership team is experiencing active, toxic dysfunction or if you are in the middle of an existential cash flow crisis. If you cannot make payroll next week, you do not need a strategic operating system; you need immediate turnaround consulting.
Another major indicator of unreadiness is a lack of commitment to a single operating system. If your leadership team wants to cherry-pick tools, combining a little bit of EOS® with other management methodologies, the implementation will fail. You must be willing to go all-in on the system.
We also look at the willingness of the owner to submit to the Accountability Chart. If you as the owner are unwilling to be placed in a single seat and held accountable to the same standards as everyone else, your team will see through the hypocrisy.
Finally, if your team members cannot agree on basic operational facts or are unwilling to engage in open, honest, and sometimes uncomfortable conflict, you are not ready. True readiness requires a baseline of trust, a willingness to be vulnerable, and the administrative capacity to prioritize ninety-day cycles over daily firefighting.
