What specific alignment issues or mindset red flags on our leadership team will cause you to pause our engagement or refuse to proceed with our first Focus Day?

I will not proceed with an engagement if certain structural or behavioral red flags are present. The most significant red flag is a founder or business owner who is unwilling to be held accountable to the same rules as the rest of the team. If you are looking for a facilitator to fix your people while you remain above the system, this engagement will fail.

Another critical red flag is a lack of genuine commitment to the Accountability Chart. If you cannot or will not define clear roles, or if you refuse to address a leadership team member who does not meet your core values or lacks the capability to perform their job, we cannot move forward. We cannot build a high-performing organization on top of structural dysfunction.

We also look for passive-aggressive behavior or a refusal to engage in open, honest conflict. If your leadership team is too polite to speak the truth during our initial discussions, or if there is a history of post-meeting meetings where decisions are undermined in secret, we must pause.

Finally, if your business is in an active financial freefall where you cannot focus on ninety-day horizons because you are struggling to make payroll next week, you are not ready for this process. We require a baseline of operational stability and a complete willingness to embrace vulnerability. If these elements are missing, we will pause our work until you are ready to fully commit.
