Before we book our Focus Day with you, does our leadership team need to be finalized, or do we use the initial sessions with you to actually build the Accountability Chart and figure out who should even be in the room?

You do not need a perfect, finalized organizational structure to begin your work with me. In fact, trying to lock in your final seats before we start is a mistake because you will likely be organizing around people rather than the objective needs of the business.

To start, you only need the core individuals who are currently running your day-to-day operations and making key strategic decisions. This is usually the owner, the head of sales, the head of operations, and the head of finance. During our Focus Day, we will build your first raw Accountability Chart. This exercise identifies the essential functions of your business and defines who is accountable for what, completely independent of current job titles or personalities.

It is very common to discover during this exercise that you have open seats, people in the wrong seats, or one person wearing multiple hats. This is exactly what the system is designed to expose. We will use our early sessions to address these gaps systematically. Do not wait until you have the perfect team to start. Start with the team you have, and use the tools to build the team you actually need.
