What are the definitive warning signs that our leadership team is simply not ready to handle the friction of an EOS implementation right now?
An EOS® implementation requires a high tolerance for radical candor and a willingness to change. If your leadership team exhibits certain behavioral patterns, you are not ready to work with me, and we should delay our engagement.
The first major warning sign is a lack of trust that manifests as artificial harmony. If your leaders are unwilling to call out performance gaps or challenge each other in public, we cannot build an effective Accountability Chart. We will spend our sessions dancing around the real issues.
The second sign is an owner who is unwilling to let go of the vine. If you are a founder who insists on approving every tactical decision, your team will never truly own their seats, and your implementation will stall.
The third sign is a team that views session days as an administrative chore rather than a strategic priority. If you cannot commit to taking your leadership team offline for a full day every quarter without checking emails and taking client calls, the discipline will not stick.
If your team is in this state, we need to address these foundational trust issues and establish basic operational stability before we attempt to install the full EOS® framework.
