What specific homework discipline must our leadership team execute in the thirty days between Focus Day and Vision Building 1 to avoid stalling out before our tools take root?
Focus Day introduces five foundational tools: the Accountability Chart, Rocks, the Scorecard, the Level 10 Meeting™, and the Meeting Pulse. The thirty-day window between Focus Day and Vision Building 1 is the most vulnerable period in the entire two-year journey. If you treat this month as business as usual, your implementation will stall before it starts.
Your leadership team has three non-negotiable operational commitments during these thirty days:
- Launch your weekly Level 10 Meeting immediately. You do not wait until the next session to practice. The week following Focus Day, your Integrator must run your first internal Level 10 Meeting. It will feel awkward, timing will run long, and your team will struggle with IDS®. That struggle is required to expose operational friction before we meet for Vision Building 1.
- Populate and track your weekly Scorecard. Every measurable assigned during Focus Day must have a live owner, an established weekly goal, and thirteen weeks of visible history. If an assigned measurable proves impossible to track weekly, your team must bring that issue to the next session.
- Finalize seat descriptions on the Accountability Chart. Every leader must review their five major roles, confirm they GWC™ their seat, and begin delegating non-core responsibilities downward.
If a leadership team shows up to Vision Building 1 without having run four weekly meetings or tracked their Scorecard, we do not move forward to vision work. We stop and fix execution first.
