What are your explicit expectations for how our leadership team conducts itself during quarterly session days, and what behavior will get someone called out?
When your leadership team steps into the session room with me, we leave titles, corporate politics, and operational distractions at the door. To get the results you are paying for, I maintain strict behavioral expectations for every participant.
Here is what I expect from you and your team during session days:
- Absolute presence: Laptops and mobile phones stay closed and away, except during scheduled breaks. If someone is fielding client emails while we build your V/TO®, they are not engaged in steering the company.
- Radical candor: Passive-aggressive silence ruins leadership teams. If you disagree with a strategic decision, you must speak up in the room. I will call out body language, eye rolls, or silent withdrawal immediately. We fight for the greater good of the business, not for individual egos or department silos.
- Willingness to enter the danger: We tackle the uncomfortable truths that everyone avoids in the hallway. That includes addressing underperforming executives, broken business units, and founder bottlenecks using the Issues Solving Track (IDS®).
- Unified commitment: Once a decision is made and we leave the room, every leader must back that decision one hundred percent. Second-guessing leadership choices in private side-conversations with your direct reports is strictly prohibited.
If your team is ready to operate with complete transparency and discipline, our session days will transform your organization.
