Beyond the baseline cash reserves and team size, what is the exact mindset shift and emotional commitment our leadership team must make before we sign the contract to start Focus Day with you?
Before we schedule your Focus Day, your leadership team must arrive with a specific mental posture. The most critical prerequisite is a collective willingness to be completely open and honest. If your team is prone to polite silence, passive agreement, or keeping secrets to protect territories, we will waste our time in the room. You must be prepared to enter the session willing to look in the mirror and acknowledge where the business is failing.
You also need to accept that roles will change. Implementing EOS® often reveals that long-term employees, or even founders, do not have the right GWC™ (Get it, Want it, Capacity to do it) for their current seats on the Accountability Chart. You must be prepared to make hard people decisions based on your core values and business needs, rather than loyalty or comfort.
Finally, you need to commit to the system as a whole. You cannot treat EOS® as a menu of options where you implement Rocks but ignore the Level 10 Meeting™ or refuse to share financial scorecards with your team. We need total buy-in to run the play exactly as written. If your team is not ready to surrender to the process and allow an external facilitator to guide you, then we should wait to begin.
