Our leadership team members are consistently failing to achieve their quarterly Rocks because they are constantly pulled back into day-to-day tactical fires. How do we restructure their priorities so they can focus on strategic scaling?

When your leadership team members consistently miss their quarterly Rocks because they are fighting tactical fires, you have a capacity problem on your Accountability Chart. Your leaders are spending too much time working in the business instead of working on the business. To break this cycle, you must use the Delegate and Elevate™ tool with each member of your team. Have your leaders track their time for two weeks and categorize their activities into four quadrants: things they love and are great at, things they like and are good at, things they do not like but are good at, and things they do not like and are not good at. Any task in the bottom two quadrants must be systemized, automated, or delegated to lower-level staff. This exercise frees up the mental energy and physical time they need to achieve their strategic Rocks. Ensure that your leadership team seats are properly structured with clear accountabilities. If a leader is still drowning after delegating, you must evaluate if they truly have the capacity to GWC™ their seat at your current scale.
