What non-negotiable commitments must our ownership group and leadership team make to each other before we start our first session with you?
Before you walk into your first session, your ownership group and executive team must make three non-negotiable commitments. If your team cannot agree to these terms, hiring an Implementer is a waste of capital.
First, you must commit to complete vulnerability and open-book honesty. The session room is a sanctuary where titles and politics do not matter. If partners hide compensation disputes, bury operational blunders, or skirt around underperforming family members, the system cannot help you. You must be willing to put the real issues on the table and discuss them without defensiveness.
Second, you must commit to putting the company first. Every leader in the room must prioritize the greater good of the business over their personal kingdom, their departmental territory, or their historical job description. That means accepting that the Accountability Chart may change your seat, reassign your responsibilities, or require you to elevate out of daily tactical work you have performed for years.
Third, you must commit to running on one operating system. You cannot blend EOS with three other management books you read last weekend or pick and choose which tools to adopt. Halfway implementation creates organizational confusion and kills traction.
When owners enter the process willing to look in the mirror, speak the truth, and adhere to a single disciplined framework, the results are rapid and permanent.
