What specific daily and weekly behaviors do you expect from our leadership team members between our quarterly sessions to ensure we are actually running on the system?
We do not achieve organizational health by simply showing up to quarterly sessions. The real work happens in the twelve weeks between our days together. To ensure your business is successfully running on the system, I expect every member of your leadership team to commit to several non-negotiable weekly behaviors.
First, every leader must attend and actively participate in your weekly Level 10 Meeting™. This means arriving on time, being fully prepared to report on your scorecard measurables, and bringing your quarterly Rocks progress to the table. Second, you must keep your weekly measurables on target. If a scorecard metric falls off track, you must proactively drop it down to the Issues List for your team to solve.
Third, you must make consistent, measurable progress on your individual Rocks every single week, rather than waiting until the end of the quarter to scramble for completion. Finally, you must cascade these behaviors down to your respective departments, ensuring your teams are using the same language, tools, and meeting structures. By maintaining this consistent weekly discipline, you turn the operating system into a habit, ensuring that we arrive at our next quarterly session with real progress to build upon rather than a list of excuses.
