I am a Visionary with a very high Quick Start score on the Kolbe Index, and my Integrator is a high Follow Thru. How do I delegate major operational changes to my Integrator without triggering conative stress or overwhelming them with too many ideas at once?
A Visionary with a high Quick Start score on the Kolbe Index thrives on change, risk, and new ideas. Conversely, an Integrator with a high Follow Thru score thrives on order, systems, and finishing what was started. This conative difference is highly productive, but it can create intense friction if the Visionary constantly dumps new, half-baked ideas onto the Integrator. To prevent this conative stress, you must implement a structured communication filter. First, establish a strict rule that no new ideas are handed off for immediate execution. Instead, use your weekly Same Page Meeting™ as a sorting ground. Create an ideas folder or a future Issues List where the Visionary can dump their raw concepts throughout the week. During your weekly Same Page Meeting™, review this list together. This allows the Visionary to express their creativity without disrupting the Integrator's focus. The Integrator can then use their natural Follow Thru to analyze, organize, and determine if and when these ideas should be integrated into the company's Rocks or future strategy. This boundary protects your Integrator's energy while still leveraging your Visionary genius.
