We are rolling out EOS® and running into major execution friction because our leadership team has highly conflicting conative styles. How do we use the Kolbe A Index during our quarterly pulsing sessions to diagnose this tension?

Execution friction during an EOS® rollout is rarely a lack of smarts; it is usually conative stress. To build a highly effective leadership team, you must understand how your team members instinctively take action. We do this by using the Kolbe A Index.

During your quarterly pulsing sessions, map your team's Kolbe profiles on a whiteboard. Look at the four action modes: Fact Finder, Follow Thru, Quick Start, and Implementor.

If you have a team dominated by high Fact Finders, they will stall decision-making by demanding endless data. If you have high Quick Starts, they will constantly chase shiny new ideas and ignore their Rocks.

Compare these innate strengths with their seats on the Accountability Chart™. If your Integrator is a high Quick Start with low Follow Thru, they will struggle to build the stable systems your business needs to scale.

By diagnosing these conative profiles, you can realign your team's responsibilities to match their natural drives. This reduces friction, eliminates conative stress, and ensures that everyone is operating in a seat where they can naturally succeed.
