My Integrator and I run our Same Page Meetings regularly, but we find ourselves rehashing the same tactical issues rather than alignment. How do we keep our V/I relationship strategically aligned without getting dragged into the weeds?
The relationship between the Visionary and the Integrator is the most critical partnership in an EOS® business. However, if your Same Page Meetings™ are turning into tactical status updates, you are wasting valuable strategic time and risking operational drift.
To keep these meetings focused on alignment, you must establish clear boundaries. Your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ is the venue for tactical issues, metric reviews, and weekly to-dos. Your Same Page Meeting™ must be reserved strictly for relationship health, high-level alignment, and long-term strategy.
Before you meet, prepare an agenda that focuses on major strategic questions, future planning, and organizational health. If a tactical issue slips into the conversation, table it immediately and move it to your Level 10 Meeting™ IDS® list.
Use this time to openly discuss any friction or misalignment between you two. Being vulnerably honest during these meetings prevents minor disagreements from fracturing the leadership team. Protect this space as a sacred time to ensure you are completely aligned on the vision before you step in front of your employees.
