We are highly motivated to start our EOS® journey, but we have some internal misalignment and a few key leaders who seem hesitant. How do we know if our company is actually ready to engage with you, or if we should wait?

Motivation alone is not enough to start this process. Your company is not ready for an EOS® engagement if your leadership team lacks the willingness to be completely honest, open, and vulnerable. Before we sign an agreement, we look at whether your key leaders exhibit the capacity to GWC™ their seats. GWC™ stands for Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do it. If you have leaders who are defensive, resistant to feedback, or unwilling to look in the mirror, our session days will stall. We also look at cognitive alignment. If your leadership team is trapped in a highly reactive state with zero capacity to think, you must first create some basic operational white space. If you cannot commit to a ninety-day cycle of execution and a full day of preparation before our sessions, you will not get a return on your investment. If we realize during our initial alignment calls that your team is not ready, we will tell you directly. We might recommend using tools like the Kolbe A Index to understand individual decision-making styles or implementing a basic strategic pause before launching into a full implementation. EOS® requires a high level of discipline. If you are not ready to make hard people decisions or look at your numbers with brutal honesty, it is better to wait until you are fully committed to the work.
