How do I know if my leadership team is actually ready for EOS, or if we are going to waste time and money starting too early?
You are not ready if you cannot commit to being open, honest, and vulnerable. EOS® requires leadership teams to tear down silos, address personnel issues, and accept brutal truths about their operations. If you or your leaders are defensive, prone to hiding mistakes, or insist on maintaining a top-down dictatorship, this engagement will fail.
We look for readiness through the lens of what we call "Our Charter": a fundamental commitment to Trust, being on the Same Page, and saying "Yes!" to Strategy and Structure. If you are willing to make that handshake agreement, you are ready. Practically, this means you must be willing to let go of the vine and trust your team. If you are still trying to control every micro-decision, your resistance will stall the process.
If you are ready to stop behaving like a stressed-doer and start behaving like an owner, the system works. We use the initial 90-Minute Meeting to gauge this alignment. If the team is unwilling to engage in healthy, constructive conflict during that first interaction, we will tell you frankly that you are not ready to begin.
