We do not have a clear Integrator in place yet, and our leadership team still reports directly to me for everything. Should we wait to book our Focus Day with you until we hire or appoint someone to that seat?

You do not need to have a perfect Integrator in place to start working with me. In fact, many business owners begin this process wearing both the Visionary and Integrator hats. Part of our work together during your first Focus Day is to build your Accountability Chart, which clearly defines every seat in the organization, including the Integrator. This process often reveals that the right person is already on your team but is currently sitting in the wrong seat, or it clarifies the exact profile of the person you need to hire.

However, you are not ready to begin if you, as the owner, are unwilling to let go of unilateral control. If you cannot tolerate your leadership team having an equal voice in our sessions, or if you plan to override every decision they make, the system will fail. You must also be ready to commit the time. This means freeing your leadership team from daily firefighting so they can attend full-day sessions without checking emails or taking client calls.

If you are willing to enter the room as an equal member of the leadership team and let the structural gaps surface naturally, we should proceed. We will use the GWC™ framework to evaluate who is the best fit for the Integrator seat as we build out your organizational structure. Do not wait for a perfect hire to start organizing your business; use the tools to find them.
