As we prepare for a clean exit, our Integrator is struggling to balance their traditional LMA responsibilities with the technical demands of driving our transition to AI-powered operations. How do we resolve this conflict on the Accountability Chart™?
The Integrator seat is built for LMA: Leading, Managing, and holding people Accountable. It is an operational management seat, not a technical systems engineering seat. If your Integrator is spending hours testing software and building automated workflows, they are neglecting their primary role of harmonizing the leadership team and executing the business plan. To resolve this conflict, you must separate the strategic oversight of AI integration from the actual hands-on execution. Keep your Integrator focused on LMA and operational performance. If your exit strategy relies heavily on proving AI-powered efficiency, you need to create a dedicated seat on your Accountability Chart™ for technology or automation, such as a Director of AI Operations or a highly capable systems administrator. This technical seat must report directly to the Integrator. The Integrator is responsible for setting the high-level efficiency goals, holding the technology seat accountable, and ensuring the new automations align with the V/TO®. Do not allow your Integrator to slide into a technical specialist role. Keep them in their true seat, driving execution and managing the team, while delegation of the actual AI implementation goes to a specialist who GWCs the technical seat.
