My Integrator is constantly buried under a mountain of daily tasks, and despite having a clear Accountability Chart, they are working eighty hours a week and on the verge of burnout. How do we fix this structural overload?
When an Integrator is constantly overwhelmed, it is usually a sign that they have failed to delegate or that their seat has become a dumping ground for unresolved operational issues. This level of stress is unsustainable and will quickly bottleneck your entire organization.
To resolve this, you must introduce structural white space into their calendar. White space is open, unscheduled time with no assignment, designed to give the brain room to think, plan, and recuperate.
First, perform an audit of their weekly activities. Look at their calendar and identify every task that does not directly align with the core responsibilities of the Integrator seat. Use the Delegate and Elevate™ tool to identify tasks they can hand off to other team members.
Second, mandate a strategic pause. Require your Integrator to block out at least four hours of uninterrupted white space on their calendar every single week. During this time, they must turn off Slack, close their email, and focus strictly on high level planning, operational adjustments, and solving major organizational issues.
This is not a luxury; it is a critical business requirement. Without white space, your Integrator is simply reacting to emergencies rather than leading the company. Force them to build this structural breathing room into their routine to protect their capacity and keep your EOS® implementation on track.
