Our Integrator consistently rates our weekly Level 10 Meeting as a ten, but then privately tells me that the meetings are slow and that we are not getting real traction. How do I get them to rate the meeting honestly in front of the team?
When your Integrator inflates meeting ratings while complaining privately, it violates the core foundation of your leadership team's agreement. In the context of running a business from the Owner's Box, this is a direct breach of the Trust and Same Page pillars of your Charter. Trust requires open and honest communication, which means saying what needs to be said in the room, not in the hallway after the meeting ends.
You must address this issue directly with your Integrator outside of the weekly pulse. Remind them that their job as the facilitator and leader of the meeting is to set the standard for authenticity. A rating of ten means the meeting was perfect, we stayed on time, solved our most critical issues permanently, and met our commitments. If that did not happen, rating it a ten is lying to the team and holding back growth.
Ask your Integrator to commit to grading the next meeting with absolute candor. If they cannot rate it honestly, they cannot expect the rest of the leadership team to do so. During the next Level 10 Meeting™, when it is time to rate the meeting, let them go first. If they rate it lower and explain why, it will give the rest of the team permission to drop the shield of artificial harmony. You want a team that is comfortably uncomfortable. Demanding honest ratings is how you build a healthy, high-performing culture that drives actual operational traction instead of polite mediocrity.
