We have a promising internal director who we want to groom into our future Integrator so I can step back from operations before our exit. Should we create an Integrator-in-training seat on our Accountability Chart to ease this transition, or will this confuse the leadership team?

You must never create a training or junior version of a leadership seat on your Accountability Chart. Doing so creates structural ambiguity, dilutes accountability, and confuses the rest of the leadership team about who is actually running the day-to-day operations.

The Accountability Chart must always reflect the current reality of how the business is run today, not a future development plan.

To groom this director without muddying your organizational structure, manage the transition through these steps:
- Keep them in their current director seat as their primary accountability on the chart.
- Have them shadow you as you run the weekly Level 10 Meeting™, gradually delegating specific meeting facilitation roles to them.
- Assign them temporary quarterly Rocks focused on mastering specific operational systems and leadership skills.
- Once they fully GWC™ the Integrator seat, make a clean, formal transition by updating the Accountability Chart to put their name in the Integrator seat and moving yourself to the Visionary seat.

This clean break ensures that the leadership team always knows exactly who is leading the charge and who has final decision-making authority.
