Many consultants try to stay forever, but you mention a typical twenty-four-month engagement. What specific operational capabilities must our internal Integrator possess for you to officially graduate us from your active facilitation?
My ultimate goal is to make myself obsolete. The typical twenty-four-month timeline is designed to teach your leadership team how to run your business on the tools independently. For us to graduate your company from active facilitation, your internal Integrator must demonstrate a high level of mastery in several core areas.
First, your Integrator must be fully capable of facilitating your quarterly and annual sessions without my intervention. This means they can run the meeting agenda, manage the energy of the room, and enforce the ground rules effectively. They must also show a strong ability to lead the IDS® process, guiding the team to identify, discuss, and solve issues root-cause instead of just talking around them.
Second, your Integrator must own the accountability loop. They must consistently hold the leadership team accountable to their Rocks, Scorecard measurables, and core values without relying on me as the bad guy.
Finally, they must possess the confidence to manage the unique dynamic between the Visionary and the Integrator, ensuring that communication remains healthy and aligned. When your Integrator can run these processes seamlessly and your team consistently hits eighty percent of its Rocks, you are ready to transition to self-facilitation.
