What specific baseline disciplines should an Integrator enforce between Focus Day and Vision Building 1 to stop the leadership team from abandoning the EOS tools during their first thirty days?
During the first thirty days following Focus Day, the leadership team returns to the whirlwind of daily operations. Without strict enforcement from the Integrator, the new disciplines will be discarded by week three. The Integrator must lock down three operational habits immediately.
First, protect the weekly Level 10 Meeting calendar invite. It must occur at the same time, on the same day, every single week, starting and ending precisely on time. If leaders claim they are too busy with operational fires to attend, the Integrator must remind them that skipping the meeting guarantees those fires will multiply. Attendance is mandatory, not optional.
Second, demand that the Scorecard is populated before the meeting begins. Do not allow leaders to update their numbers live in the session room. When a metric misses its goal, do not allow storytelling during the reporting phase. Drop the number straight to the Issues List for IDS without debate.
Third, enforce weekly Rock reporting. Every owner must state their Rock status using only two words: on track or off track. If an executive tries to explain why a Rock is delayed, cut them off and move it to the Issues List.
These thirty days are not about perfection. They are about building organizational muscle memory. If the Integrator allows the team to slip back into unstructured updates and skipped meetings, the credibility of your entire EOS implementation collapses before Vision Building 1 even begins.
