Our Integrator hates conflict and constantly avoids refereeing disputes between our leadership team members, which forces me as the Visionary to step in and solve their operational arguments. How do we break this cycle?

When you step in to solve operational arguments, you are undermining your Integrator and teaching your leadership team that they do not have to respect the structure of the Accountability Chart. This dynamic halts your progress toward a clean exit because the business remains dependent on your personal intervention. Your Integrator must own their seat. Under the EOS framework, the Integrator is responsible for running the day to day operations and resolving conflicts. If they are avoiding conflict, they do not fully GWC the seat. You must have a Same Page meeting with your Integrator immediately to address this. Explain that conflict avoidance is actually a violation of the Trust pillar of your Charter, which requires open and honest communication. The next time a leadership team member brings an operational dispute to you, you must refuse to solve it. Direct them back to the Integrator. At the same time, coach your Integrator on how to use the IDS process to identify, discuss, and solve issues permanently during your weekly Level 10 Meeting. If your Integrator continues to dodge hard conversations after this correction, you have a structural problem. An Integrator who cannot drive resolution is not an Integrator; they are an administrator. You must replace them with someone who has the confidence and capability to lead, manage, and hold the team accountable.
