How do you assess whether our leadership team has the capacity to layer on the Step by Step Exit framework while we are still trying to master the foundational EOS tools?

We do not layer the Step by Step Exit framework on top of your work until your core EOS disciplines are running smoothly. Trying to plan an exit when your weekly operations are chaotic is a recipe for failure.

I evaluate your readiness based on your execution metrics. Your team must consistently hit at least eighty percent of your quarterly Rocks and keep your weekly Level 10 Meeting scores above an eight. Your Scorecard must be a reliable predictor of your business performance.

Once these baselines are met, we introduce the exit disciplines gradually. We do not try to tackle all six exit disciplines at once. Instead, we treat the exit preparation process as a strategic extension of your existing quarterly planning.

We will begin by identifying your current Value Gaps and defining your Legacy objectives. These transition conversations are integrated directly into our annual and quarterly planning sessions. We assign specific exit preparation tasks as quarterly Rocks, ensuring they do not compete with your daily operational goals.

My recommendation is to focus entirely on building your operational health during your first twelve months. A healthy business running on a strong operating system is naturally more valuable. We will only introduce the formal Exit Ready disciplines once your team has the capacity to handle them.
