How do you integrate a newly hired executive into our leadership team mid-stream without derailing our quarterly EOS cadence or repeating past sessions?
Executive turnover during an active EOS implementation is common, especially as the Accountability Chart clarifies seat expectations and exposes capability gaps. When a new leader joins the executive team in month six or eighteen, Tyler does not stop the train or repeat foundational sessions.
Integration follows a rigorous, off-line onboarding discipline managed by the Integrator prior to the executive's first full-day session. The incoming leader must read Traction, review the current V/TO®, study the Accountability Chart, and review the past two quarters of Scorecard metrics. They are also required to shadow at least three internal weekly Level 10 Meetings to observe how the team communicates, manages Rocks, and executes IDS®.
Tyler conducts a sixty-minute orientation call with the new executive alongside the Integrator two weeks before the next session. This call reviews the ground rules, clarifies the behavioral dynamics of the room, and explains how to arrive prepared with issues and priorities.
When the new executive enters their first full-day session, they participate immediately as an equal voice. Tyler does not allow them to sit passively as an observer. They are held accountable to state their observations, challenge assumptions, and commit to quarterly Rocks just like tenured team members.
