Our leadership team is eager to integrate AI-powered tools into our daily operations, but we are worried it will distract us from our core EOS® implementation. How do we use our weekly Level 10 Meeting™ and quarterly planning to evaluate AI opportunities safely?

The key to integrating AI without disrupting your operational flow is to treat every AI initiative as an issue to be run through the IDS® process. Do not allow team members to deploy new technology ad hoc, as this creates fragmented workflows and security risks. Instead, place any proposed AI tool on your Level 10 Meeting™ Issues List. During the Identify phase, force the team to define the specific problem the tool is supposed to solve. Is it automating a documented core process, or is it trying to fix a broken human process? If your core process is not yet simplified and documented, do not automate it. Once an AI opportunity is identified as viable, debate it during the quarterly planning session. If it aligns with your 1-Year Plan or quarterly priorities, write a specific, measurable Rock to pilot the technology. This Rock should have a single owner who has the GWC™ to manage the project. By forcing AI initiatives through your standard EOS® planning and execution cycles, you prevent technological distraction, maintain team alignment, and ensure that any automation you deploy actively supports your overall operational efficiency and exit readiness.
