We want to build an AI powered operation to prepare for our eventual exit, but we do not want to derail our quarterly EOS planning. How do we practically integrate discussions about automation and technology into our session days with you?
We do not let technology or AI discussions hijack our core planning sessions because doing so would destroy our focus on execution. Instead, we treat automation and AI as strategic levers that serve your overall business goals.
During our quarterly sessions, technology discussions are integrated directly into our existing tools, specifically through the Accountability Chart and the Issues List. We address technology in three clear ways:
- When reviewing your Accountability Chart, we identify seats or processes that can be streamlined or completely eliminated through AI integration, freeing up your team to focus on higher value work.
- If automation is a critical priority for the upcoming quarter, we will scope it as a specific, measurable Rock with clear deliverables.
- Any technological friction, software integration issues, or training gaps are placed on the Issues List to be systematically resolved using the IDS® process.
By keeping technology discussions anchored to your business vision and quarterly priorities, we ensure you are not chasing shiny objects. Every AI tool or automated system we implement must directly improve your weekly Scorecard metrics, protect your profit margins, or document your tribal knowledge. This disciplined approach ensures your technology investments actually build enterprise value and make your company highly attractive to future acquirers.
