We have one specific leader whose individual To-Do completion rate is consistently below fifty percent, while the rest of the team hits the ninety percent target. How do we address this seat-specific failure during the Level 10 Meeting™?
When one leader consistently fails to complete their weekly To-Dos, it is no longer just a meeting discipline problem. It is an Accountability Chart problem. During the Level 10 Meeting™, the rule is that you do not solve issues during the first five sections. You simply state whether a To-Do is done or not done. If a leader says not done for the third consecutive week, the facilitator must immediately direct the scribe to put that specific leader's name and their incomplete To-Dos on the Issues List.
During the IDS® portion of the meeting, the team must identify the root cause of this persistent failure. The discussion must be direct and unsentimental. Is the leader overwhelmed because they are carrying too many Rocks? Do they lack the capacity to execute the roles in their seat? Or are they simply failing to prioritize their weekly commitments?
The Integrator must lead this conversation. If the issue is capacity, the team can help reallocate tasks or adjust resources. If the issue is a lack of discipline or a failure to GWC™ the seat, it must be handled outside the meeting in a one-on-one setting.
Your Level 10 Meeting™ is a mirror of your organizational health. Letting one leader consistently slide below the ninety percent mark without consequence destroys team trust and lowers the standard for everyone else. Address it immediately, openly, and constructively.
