When an owner transitions to the Owner's Box, the leadership team must operate without a safety net. The five-minute Scorecard review is the ultimate test of this independence. If the owner is still directing traffic or correcting behavior during the Level 10 Meeting™, the business is not exit-ready. To break this dependence, the Integrator must fully own the meeting flow. The review protocol must be strictly mechanical. Each team member reads their numbers, and if a number is red, the Integrator simply says drop it to add it to the IDS® list. No excuses, no explanations, and no validation from the owner. The owner's role in the Owner's Box is to transition to a Monthly Scorecard, staying completely silent during the weekly Level 10 Meeting™. If the owner speaks, they pull the team back into owner-dependence. If the team gets stuck, the Integrator must redirect them, not the owner. Use your Accountability Chart to reinforce this. If a leadership team member cannot report their numbers without looking to the owner for approval, they do not fully own their seat.
