Our Integrator is a strong manager but struggles with the high energy required to keep our weekly Level 10 Meeting moving at a fast pace, resulting in dry, sluggish sessions where the team mentally checks out. How do we help a low-energy Integrator master the dynamic facilitation needed to run a world-class meeting pulse?
The Integrator must bring high energy to the Level 10 Meeting to keep the pace fast and the team engaged. A sluggish meeting leads to passive participation, which defeats the purpose of the weekly pulse. If your Integrator is naturally low-energy, they must learn to manage the room through structural discipline rather than charisma.
First, the Integrator must use the clock as their primary tool. Keep a visible timer on the screen or on the wall. When a section is scheduled for five minutes, the Integrator must move the team forward the second the timer hits zero. The clock creates natural urgency.
Second, focus on facilitation rather than participating. The Integrator does not need to speak the most. Instead, they should actively prompt others by asking direct questions and cutting off long-winded monologues.
Third, encourage the Integrator to physically stand up if they are in a physical room, or adjust their workspace if they are virtual. Changing physical state changes vocal energy.
A world-class meeting pulse does not require a cheerleader, it requires a disciplined facilitator who respects the timebox and refuses to let the momentum drag.
