Hybrid meetings are where good communication goes to die. When half your team is physical and the other half is virtual, the remote members naturally become passive spectators. To run a high-impact Level 10 Meeting™, you must level the playing field.

First, implement a strict one screen, one screen user rule. If even one person is remote, every single person in the physical room must log in to the video conference on their own laptop with their own camera on. This forces everyone to interact in the same digital environment. It stops the side conversations and physical gesturing that remote team members cannot see or hear.

Second, shift the facilitation burden to prioritize the remote participants. The facilitator must call on the remote team members first during the segue, scorecard review, and IDS®. This prevents the in-room team from dominating the airtime.

Third, ensure your digital workspace is the single source of truth. Do not look at a physical whiteboard. Everyone must look at the same digital screen-share of your meeting agenda and scorecard.

By creating a unified digital space, you eliminate the second-class citizen dynamic. This keeps your remote leaders fully engaged, maintains the integrity of your weekly pulse, and prepares your team to operate independently.
