As we automate our repetitive back-office processes, our leadership team is struggling to define the line between machine efficiency and human leadership. What specific operational activities must remain strictly human to protect our culture and EOS framework?
While AI can handle administrative processing, true leadership, management, and accountability must remain human. Do not automate the core leadership disciplines that keep your team aligned.
First, your weekly Level 10 Meeting must stay human. The core of this meeting is IDS, which stands for Identify, Discuss, and Solve. While an AI can summarize issues, it cannot navigate the human dynamics, underlying conflicts, or creative problem-solving required to truly solve a root issue. Humans must debate and commit to the solutions.
Second, the evaluation of GWC, which means whether an employee Gets, Wants, and has the Capacity to do their job, is a human responsibility. An AI can track metrics, but it cannot assess a team member's cultural fit or emotional alignment with your Core Values. Only a manager can look an employee in the eye and assess their true commitment to their seat on the Accountability Chart.
Third, the strategic vision in your V/TO, or Vision/Traction Organizer, must be owned by your leadership team. AI can assist with market research, but setting your long-term direction, defining your Core Focus, and aligning on your 10-Year Target requires human intuition and shared agreement. Keep the machines focused on execution and keep your leadership team focused on leading.
