Our Integrator wants to use AI to analyze our team's weekly Scorecard trends and Slack communication to draft our quarterly performance reviews. What are the operational boundaries for what must stay completely human when assessing our people?

Using AI to evaluate your people is a recipe for destroying trust and culture. While AI is excellent at processing raw numbers, it lacks the conative and emotional intelligence required to understand why a human is performing a certain way. Assessing your team must remain a strictly human process.

In the EOS framework, we use the People Analyzer to determine if someone has our core values and fits our culture. This requires human judgment. An AI cannot feel whether an employee is genuinely living your core values, nor can it evaluate if an employee has the GWC, which stands for Get it, Want it, and Capacity to do it. These are qualitative human assessments.

Your Integrator can use tools like the Kolbe Index to understand a team member's natural striving instincts, whether they are a high Fact Finder who needs detail or a high Quick Start who needs change. But matching these conative strengths to the right seat on the Accountability Chart requires deep conversation, observation, and human empathy.

Do not delegate the drafting of reviews or feedback to a machine. If an employee senses that their manager used a software prompt to evaluate their contribution to the company, their commitment will evaporate. Keep the AI focused on tracking the raw output metrics on your Scorecard. Keep the feedback, the coaching, the core values alignment, and the career pathing discussions strictly human.
