Once the leadership team completes the V/TO, what is the best way to roll it out to the rest of the company so everyone actually buys into the vision?
Rolling out the V/TO® to your entire organization is a critical step, but it must be done with careful planning and absolute alignment. If your leadership team is not one hundred percent unified, the rest of the company will spot the cracks instantly and dismiss the vision as corporate propaganda.
Do not just email the document to your staff. Instead, hold a company-wide state of the company meeting. Use this time to walk through the V/TO® in detail. Share the Core Values, the Core Focus, the Ten-Year Target™, the Three-Year Picture™, and the One-Year Plan. Be transparent about where the business is going and how you plan to get there.
To make the vision stick, you must repeat it constantly. Employees need to hear the vision seven times before they truly understand and believe it. Integrate your V/TO® into your quarterly state of the company meetings, your departmental Level 10 Meetings™, and your individual performance reviews.
Most importantly, connect every employee's daily work and individual Rocks to the company's annual goals. When your team understands how their specific roles contribute to the larger vision, you build deep engagement, alignment, and traction across the entire organization.
