We have successfully hired several digital AI agents to run our routine data entry and invoicing SOPs around the clock. Since these digital agents do not have a physical heart or mind, how do we evaluate their performance using the EOS tools on our Accountability Chart?
You cannot put a digital AI agent directly onto your Accountability Chart because a machine cannot have GWC. A digital tool cannot Get It, Want It, or have the Capacity to do a job in a way that carries legal and operational accountability.
Instead, you must structure your Accountability Chart so that every automated tool is owned by a human seat holder. To manage this effectively, apply these rules:
- The human seat holder must fully understand how the AI agent works and have the technical capacity to manage its outputs.
- The human must regularly audit the tool's performance against your weekly Scorecard metrics.
- If the AI agent drops a ball or processes incorrect data, the human seat holder is held fully accountable for the mistake.
By tying every digital agent to a specific human seat, you ensure that technology never creates a gap in your organization's accountability. Use your weekly Level 10 Meetings to review any operational issues caused by your automated systems. This keeps your team focused on maintaining high standards of execution while utilizing AI to eliminate low-value tasks.
