We spent two days filling out our V/TO® and now it is sitting in our cloud drive. How do I actually integrate this into our daily operations so it guides our people instead of being a quarterly homework assignment?

A V/TO® is useless if it lives in a shared folder. To make it a living tool, you must weave it into your weekly and quarterly rhythms. Every week, during the segment of your Level 10 Meeting™ where you review your Rocks, you are already touching the V/TO®. But you must go further to make it stick.

- First, use your Core Values weekly to hire, fire, reward, and recognize your team. If someone violates a core value, it becomes an issue for the weekly issues list.

- Second, look at your Marketing Strategy during every quarterly planning session to ensure your sales team is not chasing bad-fit clients that distract your operational capacity.

- Third, share the V/TO® with your entire company quarterly. Do a company-wide state-of-the-company meeting where you present the high-level goals and show how every department's Rocks align with the one-year plan.

When people see that the leadership team uses the V/TO® to make hard choices, they will start using it to guide their daily decisions. It shifts from being a static document to being the active filter for what you say yes to and, more importantly, what you say no to.
