We are ready to roll out EOS® to our entire company, but I am terrified our team will see it as just another short-lived management fad. How do we launch it successfully?
To prevent EOS® from being labeled a flavor of the month, your leadership team must demonstrate total, unwavering commitment. If your employees see you ignoring the tools when things get busy, they will quickly dismiss them too.
Do not launch EOS® to the entire company until your leadership team has been running it successfully for at least two quarters. You must master the tools first. You need to run great Level 10 Meeting™ sessions, hit your Rocks, and use your Scorecard before you teach others.
When you are ready to launch, hold an all-company meeting. Be transparent about why you are implementing EOS®. Focus on the benefits for them: clarity of roles, less chaos, and direct accountability.
Avoid corporate jargon. Explain the concepts in plain English. Show them the Accountability Chart and explain how it simplifies their daily work.
Most importantly, maintain the cadence. If you cancel your Level 10 Meeting™ sessions or ignore your weekly Scorecard, the rollout will fail.
Consistency is your best weapon against cynicism. When your team sees that the leadership team is held to the exact same standards and tools, they will embrace the system as the new, permanent way you do business.
