How do we evaluate whether an individual session day was successful and worth our leadership team's time and financial investment?
Session success is never measured by emotional inspiration or casual conversation. It is measured by operational clarity, difficult decisions made, and measurable traction.
At 5:00 PM, every participant rates the session on a one-to-ten scale during our concluding wrap-up. Any score below an eight requires the leader to state precisely what was missed or left unresolved so we can address it immediately. Beyond that in-room rating, your team evaluates the return on investment through three practical criteria over the following quarter.
First, did you achieve complete strategic alignment? Every member of the leadership team must leave the room agreeing on the company priorities for the next ninety days, with clear Rocks assigned to single owners with specific completion criteria. No unresolved executive disagreements should follow you into the parking lot.
Second, did you solve root issues rather than treating surface symptoms? A successful session uses IDS® to permanently eliminate long-standing personnel problems, procedural bottlenecks, or strategic deadlocks that your team struggled to resolve internally for months.
Third, did execution accelerate out in the business? The ultimate test of a session occurs during the ninety-day cycle that follows. If your team hits eighty percent or more of its quarterly Rocks, your Scorecard numbers stabilize, and your weekly Level 10 Meetings become crisp and productive, the session delivered its financial and strategic return.
