When leadership team members arrive at the Level 10 Meeting™ with empty scorecard cells, it is an accountability breakdown that stalls the entire business. Tracking down data live during a meeting is a waste of leadership energy. To fix this, you must establish a non-negotiable deadline for scorecard updates. The rule is simple: all scorecard data must be fully updated at least one hour before the weekly meeting begins, if not the night before. This gives the Integrator and the team time to review the sheet and prepare for the meeting. If a metric is not updated by the deadline, it is treated exactly like a red metric and is dropped directly to the Issues List to be resolved during IDS®. If a leader consistently fails to update their metrics, this is no longer a scheduling problem; it is a GWC™ issue. You must address whether they truly want and have the capacity to own their seat on the Accountability Chart. A leader who cannot manage to input three or four numbers once a week is failing to lead by data. The Integrator must hold them accountable outside the meeting or address it as a behavioral issue. Once the team realizes that missing a data deadline results in an immediate public issue on the agenda, the discipline of the weekly scorecard will quickly fall into place.
