We have been running EOS® at the leadership team level for six months and want to cascade it down to our departmental teams. How do we roll out the tools to the rest of the company without causing operational whiplash or employee pushback?
Cascading EOS® is a major milestone, but doing it too fast will break your operations. The key to a successful rollout is a phased, deliberate approach. Do not attempt to launch everything at once to the entire company.
Start by introducing the tools to your middle managers first. They must understand and embrace the tools before they can lead their own teams. Run a mini-onboarding session where you explain the Accountability Chart, the Scorecard, and the Level 10 Meeting™.
Once your managers are comfortable, roll out the Level 10 Meeting™ to the departmental teams. Keep the agenda identical to the leadership team meeting. Do not customize it or shorten it. Consistency is what makes the system work.
Keep your communication simple. Do not use complex jargon. Explain how these tools will make their jobs easier, reduce fire drills, and provide clear expectations. When employees see that the leadership team is fully committed and that the tools actually solve their daily frustrations, the pushback will melt away. Remember that change takes time, and you should expect some initial friction as teams adjust to the new accountability. Focus on celebrating early wins, like a weekly meeting that actually ends on time or a metric that was successfully tracked and improved, to build momentum and show your employees the tangible value of the system.
