As a non-technical Visionary, how do I evaluate whether an AI workflow proposal is a viable operational fix or just vendor buzzwords?

You do not need to understand Python, neural networks, or fine-tuning to evaluate operational systems. When vendors or staff pitch an AI initiative, look at the proposal through the lens of your Core Processes and Accountability Chart.

Force the conversation back to business fundamentals using three operational tests:
- The process clarity test: If you cannot document the workflow in a clear standard operating procedure with distinct inputs, decision logic, and outputs, an AI agent cannot run it. Automation does not fix broken, ambiguous processes; it accelerates disorder.
- The operational bottleneck test: Require the proponent to explain the specific bottleneck this system eliminates. If the project does not relieve a constrained seat on the Accountability Chart or remove a measurable friction point in your revenue engine, it is technological theater.
- The human owner test: Identify who owns the outcome. Ask: Who on our Accountability Chart has the GWC to supervise this tool, review its accuracy, and correct drift over time?

Never allow vendors to frame their pitch as artificial intelligence. Demand that they frame it as an operations-improvement project. Strip the technical jargon away and treat the software like any other operational vendor: judge it exclusively on reliability, simplicity, and measurable business impact.
