If we commit to this process, how many months or years do we actually need Tyler to sit in the room with us before we are fully competent to run EOS® ourselves?
The standard timeline to achieve complete independence with the Entrepreneurial Operating System® is typically twelve to twenty-four months. This is not a lifetime sentence, nor is it a quick weekend workshop. True capability takes time to build because you are rewriting how your leadership team operates.
During the first year, Tyler leads your team through the foundational sessions. This includes your Focus Day™, Vision Building™ days, and your initial quarterly sessions. In this phase, you are learning the mechanics of the system, establishing your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ cadence, and getting your Accountability Chart™ set up correctly. Tyler acts as your trainer and facilitator, holding the mirror up to your team and teaching you the core disciplines.
By the second year, the focus shifts to refinement and mastery. You will run your second round of quarterly planning sessions with Tyler, but you will begin taking more ownership of the internal processes. You are learning to resolve issues using the IDS® tool without needing external intervention.
Once your team is executing at a high level, consistently hitting eighty percent of your Rocks, and successfully cascading the tools to your entire organization, you graduate. The goal is always to make Tyler obsolete. You will know you are ready when your quarterly sessions become highly predictable, your V/TO® is lived daily, and your Integrator easily runs the meetings without Tyler in the room.
