How does the concluding session rating work at the end of each quarterly day, and how do you respond if our leadership team rates a session poorly?

At the close of every session day, during the Concluding the Session segment, every single person in the room rates the day on a scale from 1 to 10. This is not a casual sign-off; it is an explicit accountability check on whether our time together produced high-value operational progress.

The benchmark is an 8 or higher. If anyone in the room rates the day a 7 or below, they are required to explain why immediately. If their critique points to facilitation, pacing, or poor time management on my part, I own it and adjust how I run your room. However, low ratings usually reveal that the leadership team held back, avoided addressing the elephant in the room during IDS, or allowed unresolved interpersonal conflict to simmer beneath the surface.

When a session score lands below an 8, we do not simply pack up and walk away. We identify the specific unresolved friction or missed objective that dragged down the score. If it requires an immediate fifteen-minute discussion to bring closure or clear the air between team members, we do it right then. If it exposes a structural flaw in your strategy, leadership dynamic, or V/TO clarity, that issue becomes the number one priority for your weekly Level 10 Meetings or our next session agenda.
