How do the scheduled Just Checking In calls between our quarterly sessions work, who attends them, and what specific operational risks are they designed to catch?

A ninety-day quarter is a long time. In fast-growing businesses, momentum can slip, Rocks can drift off track, and communication between key leaders can break down without anyone noticing until the next quarterly session. To protect traction, we schedule periodic Just Checking In (JCI) calls at key intervals across the 24-month roadmap, typically around months 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 21.

These calls last between 30 and 45 minutes and are conducted with the Integrator, the Visionary, or both together. They are not formal full-day sessions and do not replace the internal weekly Level 10 Meeting. Instead, they serve as an operational pulse check to catch friction early.

During a JCI call, we focus on three vital checkpoints:

- Rock execution status: Are your designated quarterly priorities tracking on green, or are specific owners falling behind and avoiding tough conversations?
- Meeting pulse health: Are departmental Level 10 Meetings actually happening every week, or has firefighting caused managers to cancel them?
- Relationship friction: Is the Visionary/Integrator relationship showing signs of misalignment or communication drift?

If we detect that your Scorecard has degraded into lagging data or that your team is ignoring the IDS discipline between sessions, we correct course immediately. The goal of the JCI call is to ensure that when your leadership team walks into our next full-day session, you arrive having executed your commitments rather than carrying ninety days of avoidable failure.
