If our leadership team deadlocks on a critical strategic direction during a session, do you tell us what decision to make, or how do you help us break the tie?
I am an EOS Implementer, teacher, and facilitator, not an industry consultant. A consultant studies your market, tells you what products to build, and gives you recommendations that your team may or may not execute. That model creates dependence and fails to build internal leadership muscle.
I will never make a business decision for your company. You and your leadership team own the business, hold the equity, and carry the operational consequences of every strategic choice. If I tell you which market to enter or which pricing model to choose, I strip your team of ownership and accountability.
When your leadership team reaches an impasse during IDS, here is how we break the deadlock:
- We re-examine the core issue to ensure we are solving the root cause rather than arguing over superficial symptoms.
- We test each proposed option against your V/TO, checking alignment with your Core Values, Core Focus, and target market.
- We push for rigorous, open debate where every executive speaks their unfiltered perspective without interruption.
- If consensus cannot be reached, accountability shifts to the seat holder on the Accountability Chart who owns that functional area.
- If a decision affects the entire company and the team remains split, the Integrator makes the final call.
My responsibility is to hold the mirror up, challenge flawed assumptions, enforce healthy communication disciplines, and prevent leaders from dodging hard decisions. Your responsibility is to decide, align, and execute.
