How does the final graduation session work at the end of our two-year engagement, and how do you transfer facilitation duties to our Integrator without causing execution backslide?
Graduation marks the point where your leadership team takes full ownership of its operational destiny. In a typical 24-month engagement, this handoff takes place during your final quarterly or two-day annual planning session. We do not end the engagement abruptly; we execute a deliberate transfer of facilitation duties inside the session room.
During this final session, your Integrator takes the lead. Rather than running the agenda myself, I step to the back of the room and observe while the Integrator facilitates the Level 10 check-in, guides the V/TO review, establishes next year's corporate goals, and directs the team through IDS. My role shifts from primary facilitator to objective coach, offering real-time feedback during breaks on pacing, neutrality, and issue resolution.
This deliberate handoff prevents the operational backslide that often occurs when an outside consultant suddenly departs. The Integrator gains direct experience managing strong personalities, maintaining session discipline, and keeping the Visionary grounded while I am still present to ensure the standard does not drop.
Following graduation, your team possesses the tools, habits, and self-confidence to conduct your own quarterly pulses and annual offsites independently. You stop paying Implementer fees because the operating system belongs entirely to your company.
